The new 360 features a bigger 250 GB hard drive, a slimmer case, built-in Wi-Fi, and it supports Microsoft’s new Kinect (hands free gaming which will be available this fall).

The new 360 only comes in black and will be available in stores later this week for $299. Not a bad deal when compared to the PS3 Slim. Just wished it supported Blu-ray!

Microsoft also announced some new Xbox Live features including the ability to watch ESPN games on your 360! To bad it won’t include NFL games. Finally $50/year isn’t looking to bad to pay for Live (although I wouldn’t mind having it free like the PS3).

They also demoed some awesome games including the new Call of Duty, Halo Reach, and Gear of War 3. All three looking like killer games.

I think I might have to sell my 360 I have now and upgrade. Even though I am thinking about getting a PS3 (I will probably just get a PS3 later anyways to watch movies and play MLB: The Show :P). I just really enjoy playing “Gaylo” from time to time and a lot of friends are on Xbox Live.

This new 360 is something Microsoft definitely needed, although its not perfect.

Remove "Add Bookmark" button in Safari

Here is a quick tip on how to clean up Safari some by removing the “Add Bookmark” button that is nested inside the Address on the left side. Thanks to the customize toolbar feature you can quickly do this, although it seems almost impossible to do.

Here is what Safari looks like with the “Add Bookmark” button.

Step 1: Right click on the Toolbar and select “Customize Toolbar…”

Step 2: Now drag and drop the “Add Bookmark” button to just the left of the current “Add Bookmark” button.

Step 3: With the “Add Bookmark” button in place like above, drag and drop it off of the toolbar to remove it.

Here is the finished product. A cleaner Safari browser.

D8 Steve Jobs Interview

And you want to go back to the stable iPhone 3.0 days, then this little tutorial is for you. If you try to simply restore back to 3.1.3 you will more than likely get into some errors, here’s how I downgraded.

Step 1: First thing you need to do is put your iPhone into DFU mode. Putting it into DFU mode is pretty simple, just:

Connect your iPhone to your computer

Turn your iPhone off

Hold the power and home buttons together for approximately 10 seconds

Let go of the power button but continue to hold the home button until your computer makes a noise telling you it found a USB device

iTunes will detect your iPhone

Your screen on your iPhone should be blank, if you see the recovery icon, then you are in recovery mode and not DFU mode

Step 2: Now you should see the following message, simply click “OK”

Step 3: Now you want to hold in the option key while clicking on the Restore button in iTunes. You will want to browse to your iPhone OS 3.1.3 firmware. I found mine in ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates/. Now let that restore.

Step 4: After it restores and error occurred for me. Simply click “OK”. You might get error 1011 or 1013 also, just click “OK” to those also. iPhone OS 3.1.3 is successfully installed, you just can’t use your iPhone just yet.

Step 5: Now we have to use iRecovery in order to use your iPhone. Download iRecovery from here. This includes the Mac and Windows version. If you are a Windows user you must also download this.

If you are using Windows you will have to install libusb, Mac users can skip this step. :)

(If you are a Windows 7 or Windows Vista user then you will have to do two extra steps to install libusb. First right click on the file, select properties, then select compatibility, then “Run this program in compatibility mode” box and select “Windows XP (Service Pack2)”. Now right click again and select “Run as “Administrator”)

Now launch Terminal (or Console if you are in Windows) and type in
cd /the/path/to/the/irecovery/file
. Now start iRecovery in your Terminal with
iRecovery -s
. And then run the following commands:

setenv auto-boot true

saveenv

/exit

Step 6: Now reboot your iPhone (hold in the power and home buttons together for 10 seconds). It will then connect to iTunes and activate.

And voila! You are now back to the 3.0 days.

A Must Have For Any Bachelor

A must have for any bachelor is a crock pot. They are simply amazing. You literally just throw a few things in there, turn it on in the morning, and at the end of the day you will have an awesome meal waiting for you to inhale. Not only that but it fills your kitchen with an awesome smell of hunger.

I plan to eventually post up some of my favorite recipes that I discover for the crock pot.
